Afternoon Tea is a British tradition that has existed since the mid 1800s.
Duchess Anna of Bedford was credited for introducing this tradition in 1841, when she discovered that she always became really hungry between lunch and dinner. One day she asked her waiter to serve some sandwiches and cakes for her afternoon tea. This soon became a habit, and she started inviting her friends to afternoon tea. Eventually, afternoon tea became a fashionable and social standard among the upper class and high society in England.
Today, Afternoon Tea is a popular tradition for many - also beyond Britain's borders. Now, you can enjoy Afternoon Tea in Hadeland!
